Pagrati, Athens
Greece 2024
This renovation project aimed to breathe new life into a classic Athenian apartment while respecting its original character. We preserved the beautiful wooden floors in the dining room and two bedrooms, maintaining a sense of warmth and authenticity. An additional guest WC was introduced, and the main bathroom was redesigned with a sleek, modern aesthetic.
The kitchen now features a fresh new vibe, centered around earthy tones and enhanced by wide, tall cupboards that maximize storage and style. Decorative lighting fixtures have been thoughtfully placed throughout the space, allowing us to avoid false ceilings and retain the original high ceilings — a distinctive feature of 1970s apartment buildings.
In the dining room, a pale blue color sets a calm, refined atmosphere. We carefully blended modern, industrial-style shelving with the owner's timeless wooden dining table, creating a balanced mix of old and new. The result is a space that feels contemporary yet grounded, elegant yet inviting — a true reflection of both the apartment’s legacy and its future.
